I always threw away the oil plug: a colleague told me what it was really needed for

This plug has always infuriated me, because sometimes you have to pull it with force and quite sharply, as a result of which oil spills. And sometimes the ring breaks and then it’s very difficult to open the oil. But not so long ago I found out why it is really needed.
