DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9×5 loaf pan with nonstick spray, ensuring coverage up the sides and in the corners.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add cheddar cheese and stir until the cheese is coated in the flour mixture.
In a small bowl, whisk together milk and egg; pour into the dry mixture and stir until just combined. Mix in the melted butter until the dough is evenly moistened.Transfer the dough to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
While the bread bakes, prepare the topping by whisking together melted butter, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, and dried parsley.
Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and immediately brush with the butter topping.
Let the bread cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
Slice and serve.
