– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 
– 1 packet ranch dressing mix 
– 1/2 cup milk 
– 1/4 cup melted butter 
– 1 onion, finely diced 
– 2 cloves garlic, minced 
– Salt and pepper to taste 
– 1/2 cup chopped green onions for garnish
