Classic Delight: Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Recipe

Prepare your oven for baking at 350°F (175°C).

Coat the bottom of a 9-inch round cake pan evenly with 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter.

In a cake pan, melt butter. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over top.

Pin pineapple and cherry on top.

Press pineapple slices firmly into pan and arrange in a single layer on top of brown sugar.

Place a maraschino cherry in the middle of each pineapple slice and in the spaces between them. Remove from table.

The cake batter should be prepared:

Mix salt, baking soda and all-purpose flour in a medium bowl and whisk to combine. Remove from table.

To make the frosting, combine 3/4 cup granulated sugar with 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter in a large bowl and beat until fluffy.
