Prepare the dough:

In a large bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.

In another bowl, combine milk, buttermilk, eggs, melted butter and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Mix the wet and dry ingredients:

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until well combined. Do not overmix the dough.

Heat the oil:

Pour oil into a frying pan or saucepan to a depth of about 2 inches. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to monitor temperature.

Fry the donut holes:

Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, carefully drop small balls of dough into the hot oil. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding.

Fry the donut holes for about 2-3 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove the holes from the donuts with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Prepare the icing:

In a medium bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust consistency by adding more milk if necessary.

Glaze the donut holes:

Once the donut holes have cooled slightly, dip them into the glaze, making sure they are completely coated. Place them on a wire rack to allow the glaze to set.

Serve and enjoy:

Serve Mini Glazed Donuts warm or at room temperature. They are perfect for sharing at any gathering or simply enjoying with a cup of coffee or tea.
