Not everyone knows that orange peel combined with vinegar can be very useful for certain household tasks. There’s something here. During the upcoming winter season, we usually eat seasonal fruits, including citrus fruits from other seasons and in this case, oranges. Due to their importance for our immune system, these fruits are associated with the colder months, as many of us tend to get sick due to frost and low temperatures.

ORANGE PEEL – HOW TO USE IT WITH VINEGAR
To prevent this and strengthen our immune system, we are often recommended to supplement our diet with vitamin C, which is found in large quantities in oranges.

Therefore, many of us tend to eat them as they are or take a good sip of them, which gives us a boost of energy and tends to partially relieve all our ailments and bring us some benefits.

Although everyone removes the skin, it should never be thrown away as it could be used for something that would be vital in our home and that not everyone knows about.

In addition, during the Christmas season, in addition to tangerine peels, orange peels can also be used to decorate our tree or to make very interesting Christmas crafts.

But what we are about to tell you is a completely new use of these scrubs that only some housewives know, as another special ingredient is added to these leftovers.

THE NATURAL SOLUTION
We’re talking about vinegar. Using a glass jar, you can break the orange peels into pieces and pour in enough vinegar to completely cover the peels with the liquid.

Once the vinegar is added, close the jar tightly and let it sit for about 15 days to macerate the orange peels and release the citrus substances, releasing all the essential oils.

After this time, filter the solution, remove any pieces of orange peel, pour the liquid into a spray bottle and use it on heavily soiled surfaces.

We will see that thanks to the action of vinegar and the properties of orange, many of these surfaces, including steel, are perfectly clean and a very fragrant smell is released into the air.

In fact, during maceration, the peels released all the essential oils that interacted with the vinegar, forming a natural cleaning agent with degreasing and disinfecting properties.

This method can be used not only with oranges, but also with all other citrus fruits, as they have similar properties and therefore lemons or tangerines are also recommended.

Of course it depends on our tastes, but now, if the season allows it, by eating an orange we can experiment with this solution that will almost certainly surprise us.

In this way, not only do we have a natural cleaning product that is good for our surfaces, but we also save money in our wallet by avoiding buying commercial products for home care.
