How to Clean a Sofa with the Towel Method: Get Rid of Dust and Stains

Before using stain removers, vacuum the entire surface of the sofa or armchair to remove as much dust as possible. Use the appropriate accessories to avoid damaging the fabric – a soft brush is ideal.
2. Clean only the dirty part
Dampen a towel with white vinegar and gently rub over visible stains. Remember not to apply too much pressure and ensure good ventilation in the room.
3. Clean with water and laundry detergent
Do another wipe with water and a mild laundry detergent. This will help remove the dirt more deeply and eliminate the strong vinegar smell. Use small amounts of detergent and water to avoid damaging the fabric.
4. Let dry completely
Many people use a hair dryer to do this first, but letting it dry naturally is the best option. Open the windows and make sure the sofa gets a good flow of air.
Please note: the method described above can only be applied to fabric or microfiber sofas and armchairs, not to leather ones.
