I loved these so much back then. I’d constantly ask my mom to cook them for me.

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
3. Open the can of crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
4. Place a small dollop of the cream cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
5. Carefully roll up each triangle, starting from the wide end and rolling toward the point. Place the rolls seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.
6. If desired, brush the tops of the rolls with the beaten egg to help them achieve a lovely golden-brown color.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and flaky.
8. Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar for a sweet touch, if desired.
Variations & Tips
For a savory twist, try adding chopped herbs such as chives or dill to the cream cheese mixture. You can also experiment with adding a bit of cooked, crumbled bacon for added flavor. If you prefer a sweeter version, consider adding a spoonful of fruit preserves alongside the cream cheese filling. Adjust the quantities but remember to not overfill the triangles to prevent the filling from oozing out.
