Shipwreck Stew
SECOND STEP:
The following ingredients are added in order, in layers:
Potato
Onion
Celery
Kidney beans
Corn
Tomatoes
Salt and pepper to taste
THIRD STEP:
Cook on a medium high heat until the stew begins to boil
Reduce the heat to medium low and simmer for 45 minutes.
Keep the pot covered while it is simmering.

Can I use different meat?
I do not see why not. Use whichever type of meat that you have in your freezer or that you have bought on sale. I would imagine that leftover chicken, roast beef, venison or even turkey would taste great in this stew.
Can I freeze the stew?
The stew can certainly be placed into an airtight container and placed in the freezer for up to 4 months. You can also store it in the refrigerator by cooling it completely, wrapping or covering it so that it is air tight and place it in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
