Texas Toast with Cheddar
Melt the butter and, if used, mince the garlic in a small bowl.
Apply a generous coat of the mixture on both sides of each piece of bread.
Evenly distribute the grated cheese over each piece.
Ten to twelve minutes in a preheated oven should be enough time to melt the cheese and turn the bread golden brown.
Keep warm before serving.
