Traditional Hamburger Potato Casserole has been a family favorite for many years. Delicious and satisfying, this dish is ideal for any event because to its combination of soft ground beef, creamy potatoes, and melting cheese. This slow cooker hamburger potato casserole is perfect for those days when you want something hearty and comfortable to eat, whether that’s for supper or just to warm you up.
Hamburger Potato Casserole was a mainstay in my childhood home. On hectic weeknights, my mom would whip it up, and the comforting scent of potatoes and meat slowly simmering would waft through the house. Even though I’m an adult now, I still cook this meal whenever I have guests around. The slow cooker recipe is so much more handy than the other two options since it doesn’t take long to prepare and the kitchen stays smelling wonderful all day.

Recipe for Hamburger Potato Casserole in the Slow Cooker

What You Need: One pound of ground beef
One chopped onion
4 potato cubes
One can of mushroom soup that has been condensed
one and a half cups of cream
half a teaspoon of salt
black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon
1/4 cup of cheddar cheese, shredded
2. Spoonfuls of breadcrumbs
Instructions:
Heat a big pan over medium heat and brown the ground meat and onion. Remove any surplus of fat.
2. Layer the potatoes, meat, and onion combination in a slow cooker.
3-In a another dish, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Add the mixture to the slow cooker with the potatoes and meat.
4. Cook for 6-8 hours on low heat or for 4-5 hours on high heat.
5. Top the dish with shredded cheese and bread crumbs during the last hour of cooking.
6. Keep the cover on the slow cooker and simmer until the cheese melts and bubbles.
7. Plate the dish while it’s still hot and savor a satisfying dinner that’s a breeze to make!
